Golden Thread Memoirs is owned by Susan Reuben, a writer and editor with 30 years’ experience working in publishing, journalism and as a Jewish professional.

Susan grew up in Sunderland and took a degree in French and Italian from Cambridge University (Sidney Sussex). She went on to work for many major publishers including Penguin Random House, Macmillan and HarperCollins, and as a ghostwriter for Faber.

She is a former columnist for the Jewish Chronicle, and has been a director of community engagement and programming for two major synagogues, giving her an in-depth understanding of the Jewish community.

The golden thread that runs through Susan’s work is a fascination with people and their stories. She understands that every single person’s life is worth recording, no matter whether it’s full of small domestic details or epic adventures, so their memories can be shared with family and friends and passed down to future generations.
